This epic Chick-fil-A will be worth getting on a plane for, y'all.
Ah, 12,000 square feet. It sounds like a water park's worth of space. Or perhaps a sprawling ranch home in Texas. Or, perhaps a five-story Chick-fil-A.
Well, that five-story chicken lover's fantasy (plus a rooftop terrace!) is about to become a reality in winter 2018—see the renderings below. Unfortunately, the largest Chick-fil-A to date isn't opening in our neck of the woods. Instead, the Atlanta-based company is debuting the store in New York City. The restaurant will be located at 144 Fulton Street in New York City's Financial District. It will be Manhattan's third Chick-fil-A.
According to the company's blog, The Chicken Wire, the new restaurant will be nearly twice the size of any other Chick-fil-A restaurant. The design also sounds pretty spectacular: Floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight will allow light to flood in and a rooftop with additional seating will offer views of the Freedom Tower.

For folks who want to take their meetings to the Chick, there will be semi-private group meeting and dining space. To cut down on wait time, the restaurant will feature two kitchens to ensure your Line-to-Icedream segue is swift.
We're betting some homesick Southerners' lunch breaks are about to get a whole lot better.
