Do you go to bed every night dreaming of the breakfast meal to come? You're not alone, but based on where you live, that dream breakfast spread may look very, very different.

To find out who loves say, waffles, versus who prefers their bowl of grits, the team at Vitagene — which creates a custom wellness plan around your DNA test results — looked at the most popular breakfast food in every state based on Google search interest data.

So where does your state stack up? While we can't say we were surprised that Louisiana is crazy for beignets, states like Kentucky and Texas certainly threw us a bit of a curveball. Here are the most popular breakfast food in every Southern state:
