Don’t expect to find McDonald’s hot new dessert on their menu. At least not right now.

The McFlurry Sandwich is the DIY dessert hack that’s been taking social media by storm. It was brought to life by Twitter user @nxthvniel_, who says he invented it in a moment of “hunger creativity” over the weekend. It’s easy and inexpensive and can be made with two sweet snacks you can order from the menu: the McFlurry and two chocolate chip cookies.

What the Internet has dubbed the McFlurry Sandwich is made simply by spreading an Oreo McFlurry between two cookies to make an ice cream sandwich. Smoosh it all together and... voila! Genius, right? People went wild for the genius hack the moment @nxthvniel_ posted it to his Twitter account, and it has already racked up nearly 20,000 retweets in just a few short days.

So far, reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. Who knows, maybe they’ll add it to the menu one day. In the meantime, we’re just happy to know this treat exists at all.
