Here's Why Prince George and Princess Charlotte's Nanny Is Basically Mary Poppins
"In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun," to put it in Poppins' words.
Besides "Mum" and "Dad" there's one name that is likely commonly proclaimed by Prince George and Princess Charlotte: Maria.
Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, that is. She holds the coveted gig of nanny to George and Charlotte (and soon Prince William and Kate Middleton's third baby). As Town and Country recently reported, Maria is a veritable Mary Poppins
Borrallo began working for Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2014, and it appears to have been all supercallifragilisticexpialidocious ever since. So what makes Borrallo such a superstar in the role?

Her Mary Poppins-level training certainly seems to contribute to her expertise in helping to raise the royal kiddos. Borrallo attended Norland, a college in Bath, England esteemed for educating professional caretakers. "Students of the school, which is over 125 years old, are instructed in traditional child rearing skills as well as cooking and sewing techniques, and self defense and first-aid training," Town and Country's Caroline Hallemann writes. Along with the lofty task of raising a future monarch, Norland also teaches students defensive driving and security training.
