Behind-the-Scenes of Chip and Joanna Gaines' Waco Coffee Shop, Magnolia Press

Heading to Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco, Texas? Then two things are probably true: You're a Fixer Upper super fan, and you're going to need some coffee to make it through your marathon of a day.

You're in luck: Recently, the First Couple of Waco, Chip and Joanna Gaines, opened up their coffee Shop, Magnolia Press, right by the Silos. Now, in a new blog post and video, Chip and Joanna Gaines were kind enough to give us a glimpse into how Magnolia Press came to be and the design inspiration behind the space. As we learned, Magnolia Press was previously a fitness studio and the Gaines took many efforts to ensure the coffee shop had a welcoming ambiance.

"I really wanted it to feel really cozy, kind of a blend of that library feeling, but also a little bit of industrial," Joanna Gaines said in the video as she stands in the space before the renovations, clutching baby Crew in her arms. "There'll be a lot of brass accents, copper accents."

After a busy remodeling process, Chip and Jo seemed to have some nerves that things weren't all going to come together in time. But one week before the opening, the Gaines matriarch is thrilled with the space's progress: "I kind of look at the design from a bird's eye view, so I'm always looking at plans, I'm looking at it like that. But today I got to experience it as a customer. I walked in, I ordered my latte, and I think when I took it all in, I looked around, [and] it feels right, exactly what I was hoping for in the beginning the vision that we saw on paper. Now in real life is just better than I could have ever hoped for," she said, clearly proud of the hard work that went into the shop.
