Luke Bryan’s Senior Rescue Dog Has Died
Poochie has crossed over that Rainbow Bridge
It’s with heavy hearts that we report on the passing of Poochie, the 18-year-old rescue dog who was recently adopted by Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline. Caroline took to Instagram this morning to share the sad news.
She started her post off with a quote in tribute to the beloved senior pooch. “If the kindest souls were rewarded with the longest lives, dogs would outlive us all.” She went on to say that “our sweet Prince Poochie” had, indeed, passed away and that in his eighteen years of life, he was loved by so many people. “My kids especially loved to hear him snore when he slept!”
Bryan then thanked the rescue group where they found Poochie, Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.
It’s only been a few weeks since the Bryan family adopted Poochie from the Nashville based animal rescue group, as we previously reported. Luke and Caroline saw a post about the elderly pup in need of a loving home and they immediately went to his aid, giving Poochie a well-deserved final place to rest his head. He had been in a foster home after the rescue group pulled him from a shelter. Poochie was an owner-surrender due to allergies. But thanks to the warm and open hearts of Luke, Caroline, and their children, Prince Poochie spent his final days snoozing, snoring, and undoubtedly being adored. We send our deepest condolences to the Bryan family over the loss of this beloved pet.
