Year-Round Christmas-Themed Restaurant Christmas Morning Café Opens in Louisville
We're torn between the "I'm Dreaming of a" Waffle Panini Sandwich or Père Noël French Toast.
Sure, in years past, we've begun to spin Christmas tunes and hang our decorations in October, but during the tumult this year, August seems like a good a time as any to tap into our Christmas spirit. That's why we were excited to hear about the new breakfast and brunch restaurant, the Christmas Morning Café on Frankfort Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky.
Rudolph's Fresh Berry Crepes? "Jingle All the" Waffle Sticks? "The Grinches" Avocado Toast? All served with a backdrop of holiday décor? Yes, please. At the Christmas Morning Café, your finest edible dreams for Santa really do come true with a diverse menu of both savory and sweet creations, even if Christmas is still a few months out.
"Covid-19 took two-thirds of our business away," he told the news outlet of the struggles his coffee shop faced amidst the pandemic. "We have a silent partner that believes in us and so we thought, 'What a better time than right now to have some Christmas fun?'" In the spring, Bishop was able to take over the space of a recently closed restaurant at 2359 Frankfort Avenue and work to getting his dreams come true. With the coronavirus pandemic, indoor seating is closed for now, so they've created a welcoming outdoor deck area, which can hold about 20 guests. They're also available for takeout.
So far, the restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a weekly closure on Mondays.
Be sure to share the Yuletide news with all your loved ones in Louisville. We're looking forward to Jingling All the Waffle Sticks in due time with our Kentucky friends.
