Condolences for the members of the Lexington Police Department are rolling in from all over the world after photos of their officers mourning the charred remains of a Krispy Kreme truck went viral on New Year’s Eve.

On Monday, the Kentucky police department took to Twitter with a series of hilarious photos showing three officers crying theatrically. A badly-burned truck carrying a load of delicious Krispy Kreme doughnuts stands on the back of a tow truck behind them. We know how much police officers love their doughnuts

“No words,” the caption simply reads along with a crying emoji.

Nobody was injured in the fire, but that didn’t stop people from paying their respects. “We feel your loss,” the University of Kentucky Police Department replied. “We donut what else to say.”

Officers with the Madison Police Department in Alabama grieved with them, and the New York City Police Department even offered to send in backup.

But the most heartfelt reaction came from the fine people of Krispy Kreme who promised that more doughnuts were on the way.

How sweet is that?
