KFC Plots Major Move to Take on Chick-fil-A
Colonel Sanders has some big news for next week.
Nothing hits the spot quite like a bucket of Original Recipe KFC. Now, KFC is ready to tackle the gold standard of fast casual chicken sandwiches and launch a direct competitor against Chick-fil-A's chicken sandwich.
Starting April 23rd, KFC will offer "The Crispy Colonel" sandwiches in four renditions: Classic, Smoky Mountain BBQ, Nashville Hot, and Georgia Gold honey mustard BBQ, reports Business Insider. The move will pose a threat to offerings found on menus of ompetitors like Arby's, Burger King, and McDonald's.
To celebrate the new sandwiches' debut, George Hamilton will reprise his role as Colonel Sanders as the "Extra Crispy Colonel."
We don't know about you but this news sure has us antsing to indulge in some extra crispy delights. Should we head to Chick-fil-A or wait until Monday?
