The Duchess of Cambridge sent off seven inches of her locks to charity.
It's been a big month for royal hair. Prince William debuted a shaved head. Meghan Markle continued to rock a messy (gasp!) bun. Now, Kate Middleton has shook our tresses yet again—by lobbing off seven inches of hers.

The Duchess of Cambridge is said to have asked her hairdresser, Joey Wheeler, to keep her locks for charity. According to the Daily Mail, an aide collected Kate's strands after her appointment and they were sent to the Little Princess Trust, an organization which provides free wigs to children and young adults who have lost their hair from cancer treatment and other illnesses.
"We are so very grateful to every single person who kindly supports the charity in this way. As the Duchess of Cambridge is so much in the public eye, we hope the message that the charity can help children and young people with hair loss will reach everyone who might need our assistance," said Monica Glass, a charity manager for Little Princess Trust, in a statement. "Receiving a free, real hair wig has a very positive impact on a child or young adult at such a difficult time. We hope that this donation will encourage others to consider supporting the charity in the same way."
In addition to sporting her hair in subtle waves at a mental health program launch (above), the Duchess sported her new 'do in a ponytail on a rainy-day visit to Kings College in London.
Now, all bets are on as to when and if Ms. Markle will follow suit. In the time being, you can find us on a mad Google dash for the perfect long bob.
