This When Calls the Heart Star is Working on a Non-Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie
Molly Sullivan takes the big screen.
Hallmark Channel sweetheart Johannah Newmarch is headed for the big screen. Only this time, Newmarch, who has appeared as Molly Sullivan in When Calls the Heart since 2014 and Sally in several of the Garage Sale Mystery series is working on something you won't find on Hallmark.
The fiery redhead is set to star as the evil stepmother in A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish, a contemporary musical from Warner Bros', and the fifth installment in the teen film franchise.
The first Christmas-themed movie in the "Cinderella Story" franchise, A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish tells the story of modern-day fairytale heroine, Kat Decker (Laura Marano of Disney Channel's Austin & Ally fame), a singing elf at a Christmas store who dreams of becoming a singer-songwriter. Her love interest—the handsome new Santa at the tree lot—is played by Runaways actor Gregg Sulkin. The film has reportedly already begun filming in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. There's no word yet on a release date.
