You've decked the halls and knocked off holiday shopping for everyone on your list. Now it's time to get a head start on present wrapping. Right? Right!

This year, the leading lady of Waco, Joanna Gaines, has come to our sides with some wonderful inspiration for tassel toppers, which come together in just a few straightforward steps. As Gaines shared in a recent post on her blog, Magnolia At Home, the DIY project only require a few items: yarn, scissors, a small rectangular object like a credit card (this is just for looping your yarn around), and the optional addition of wooden beads.

"With Christmas well on its way, we’re about ready to turn up the holiday music, grab a mug full of something warm, and begin the gift wrapping! This year we’re elevating our wrapping with an easy, handmade gift topper tassel that adds to your presentation without adding hours onto your wrapping time," Gaines writes. "It’s simple to make and is a playful addition to your gifts. You can even use this tassel to dress up a holiday card for neighbors or coworkers!"

Gaines proceeds to walk readers through the process step-by-step, alongside visuals, so you can read and see exactly how to pull it off for yourself. Once you get the hang of it, you may have so much fun that you're inspired to make a few extra to stash away for next year.

Personally, we love this festive and eye-catching gift wrapping accoutrement, and we may very well make it our signature style for years to come.
