Joanna Gaines Hosts Hilarious Fake Book Signing at Home with Chip and Her Kids
Magnolia Table, Volume 2 was released this week but since the coronavirus has cancelled the book tour, the Gaines family got creative.
Joanna Gaines has made us smile during this uncertain time and given us recipe inspiration thanks to her entertaining cooking videos that she's shared on social media. Now, she's made us keel over with laughter after hosting a mock book signing event at home to celebrate her new cookbook, Magnolia Table, Volume 2.
Released earlier this week, the second cookbook from the Waco Wonder Woman is filled with delectable recipes for hits like Cajun shrimp sheet pan dinner, zucchini bread, oatmeal cream pies, and more. To toast the book's release, Gaines took to Instagram, writing, "Since my book tour isn't happening this week, we still wanted to celebrate the book launch in our own unique, stir crazy kind of way. I felt the love for sure, but I also missed getting to see all of your beautiful faces!" alongside the video of the humorous fake book-signing sketch.
In the clip, Gaines sits behind a table displaying her new cookbook next to her daughter / security guard before various members of the Gaines family, from baby Crew to Chip, wander up to the table (all but Crew in costume) to get their books autographed—or in Crew's case, grab a cookie. Watch below.
What a video, huh? We're thinking Chip and Jo should seriously push for a Gaines family sitcom on their upcoming Magnolia Network, which launches on TV next October. Clearly, the Gaineses have serious acting chops.
