It's a big year for Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, and the rest of the Sesame Street cast. The beloved show turns 50 this year. Currently, the show is broadcast for children to enjoy in 150 countries in 70 languages — which we're sure the show's creators Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett never imagined when the first episode aired in 1969 — and there's a year-long lineup of events to toast this wonderful accomplishment.

Perhaps Sesame Street was a daily treat in your own childhood, or perhaps it's something you now watch with your own children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or loved ones. Regardless, everybody has a special place in their hearts for Sesame Street. And whether it's TODAY show co-host Hoda Kotb serenading daughter Haley Joy with "Sing" from the show or a preschool group playing with puppets from the show, there's a steady stream of ways this series influences people's everyday lives.

So too, has the show moved Ina Garten, who recently shared a very special moment from her career with an Instagram post in honor of Sesame Street's 50th anniversary.

"Celebrating 50 years of Sesame Street!! I’ll never forget the day Elmo came to the barn and made cookies with me," she shares, alongside a sweet video clip of Elmo and Ina making a batch of cookies together. Watch below.

Safe to say we are having a serious cuteness overload from this wonderful segment between the Barefoot Contessa and Monsieur Elmo.
