Now that’s what we call love at first sight, y’all!

A Texas horse orphaned by Hurricane Harvey is stealing hearts after a video of his response to meeting his new “girlfriend” made headlines this week.

Oslynn Foy, Apache’s handler, filmed the brown and white horse’s adorable reaction to seeing the mare for the first time. To say he was excited would be a gross understatement.

From the other side of a wire fence, Apache trotted happily alongside his new potential mate then began prancing wildly. In no time, he had broken breaking out into a run. When he reached the other side of the property, he returned at full tilt to get another look at his new crush. Talk about love at first sight!

In an interview with KTKR, Foy, who took ownership of Apache after his old owners lost their property due to Harvey, said that Apache is usually quiet and never runs.  She said they decided to add the mare to their stable because he had been alone for six months.

“I didn’t expect this!!!!!!” she wrote alongside the video on Facebook.

Unfortunately for Apache, the mare brought a bodyguard with her: a protective mini horse named Papi. It remains to be seen how Papi will deal with Apache’s advances.

“I can't imagine what will happen when I actually open this gate!” Foy wrote.

I didnt expect this!!!!!! Saying Apache is Excited may be an Understatement...Listen!!! *Apache (brown/white) was giving to us to love shortly after his family lost their home and property to Harvey. NOW we have decided to get him a "Girlfriend". And with her we also got Papi, her protective mature miniature bodyguard too. We didn't want to separate them. I can't imagine what will happen when I actually open this gate😲❤🐎 #MyHeartIsFull #ForeverGratefulToWendellandPatsy #BlessedBeyondMeasure #BestSupportStaffEVER #LivingandLovingNOW
