For Southern Living, HotelTonight, which recently expanded to desktop and introduced a new deal feature called "Daily Drop," combed through their revenue and growth data to see what cities in the South were on the rise. “The Crescent City is one of the most popular destinations nationwide, with a rich history providing the backdrop for a mix of newer, sophisticated hotels alongside charming properties offering a traditional taste of NOLA," Leggat comments. "Early spring after Mardi Gras offers pleasant weather and less crowds, while the city enchants with the vibrant French Quarter, unbeatable music scene and world-famous cuisine.”
“While it’s entering its high season you can find incredible deals and one of the most vibrant and exciting hotel scenes in America," offers Leggat. "The crowds descend upon Miami in early December for Art Basel but the months prior are far less crowded.”

“Inexpensive round-trip flights from major cities...and several newly opened and affordable hotels make the newly revitalized Myrtle Beach one of the top Southern hot spots this year," says Emma Leggat of HotelTonight. "Myrtle Beach offers the quintessential beach getaway from the nostalgic boardwalk experience complete with ferris wheel and hot dog stands to natural attractions like the Brookgreen botanical gardens"
