After Public Outcry, Hostess Brings Back New, Improved Suzy Q’s
They're back and better than ever!
You spoke, and Hostess listened.
After the brand's decision to pull Suzy Q's from shelves resulted in serious backlash, Hostess has announced that the beloved devil's food cake treats are coming back, better (and bigger) than ever!
Devotees will love that the new Suzy Q's more closely resemble the original 1961 version of the snack in both taste and design. The original cake's rounded shape is back, and they now feature 50% more crème and 50% more chocolate cake, equaling 100% more finger-licking fun.

"Suzy Q's fans are among our most passionate consumers, and they have spoken loud and clear," Burke Raine, Hostess Brands' Chief Marketing Officer, said in a statement. "We heard their feedback on social media and through our Consumer Affairs group, and have responded with an even better snack cake that measures up to their expectations. Our dedication to putting out a quality product — as well as responding to our consumers—is paramount."
Translation: we did it y'all!
Suzy Q's are baked in American, and are available now in 6-count multipacks and single serve twin-packs at retailers nationwide.
