Tour the Just-Listed Dallas Mansion with a Letter of Recommendation from Prince Charles
We imagine that mot many American homes come with personal recommendations from the future King of England.
Well, a personal letter of approval from Prince Charles himself is just one of the things to love about this Arts and Crafts style house for sale in affluent Highland Park, Texas. In addition to unlimited bragging rights, the 18-year-old, 4,700-square-feet home also comes with three bedrooms, four baths, a swimming pool, a separate guest residence, oh, and world-renowned architecture.
“All I can say is that I am enormously impressed—particularly by your enviable ability to produce such an incredibly ‘appetizing’ c feel to your buildings. This is such a rare gift in today’s soulless world and, for me, was best demonstrated in your Highland Park house. I have rarely come across something so utterly appealing…” Prince Charles said of the home in a 2008 letter he wrote architect Scott Merrill after reviewing his portfolio.
Charles’ affection for the Dallas-area residence is no surprise, seeing as how the design was inspired by English country homes of the 1920s.
The one-of-a-kind home at 3509 Crescent Avenue was built by Dallas financier David Dowler and is currently listed with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate for a regal $4.99 million.
