Mark your calendars for November 28, 2020!
That's the date the decidedly Southern Hallmark Christmas movie USS Christmas is set to premiere on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel.
The festive film starring Hallmark regulars Trevor Donovan and Jen Lilley is currently filming in throughout the coastal Carolinas, primarily in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Charleston, South Carolina.

The movie follows Maddie (Lilley), a reporter for a Norfolk newspaper, who embarks on a Tiger Cruise during Christmastime where she meets a handsome naval officer played by Donovan. While on the ship, Maddie also stumbles upon a mystery in the ship's archive room.
According to Military.com, Tiger Cruises are opportunities for the family and friends of sailors and Marines to go out on a Navy vessel and experience what it's like to be deployed.
Crews have spent the last few weeks filming in Wilmington, including scenes along the Riverwalk and at Battleship North Carolina. Hallmark even made it snow on a Forest Hills home this week! Production will then move south to Charleston for filming aboard the USS Yorktown, Wilmington Star-News Online reports.
This isn't the first time Hallmark has made Christmas magic in the area. 2013's Christmas in Conway, starring Andy Garcia, Mary Louise Parker, Mandy Moore, and Riley Smith, was also filmed in Wilmington. As the Star-News points out, the Forest Hills was also transformed for that film, with the staging of holiday lawn decorations and even a massive Ferris wheel in the backyard of one home.
We'll see you on November 28, at 9 p.m. EST!
