Choosing a cruise line can be as overwhelming as picking a destination for your summer vacation (or heck, as picking one more book to fit into your carry-on). Well, Carnival Cruise Line has a one-of-a-kind proposition that may settle it for you: A "Great Vacation Guarantee."
Since 2013, Carnival has offered the promise to customers where voyagers can go to guest services within the first 24 hours of their trip and get a 110% refund if they are dissatisfied for any reason. In addition to the full-and-then-some refund, guests also receive complimentary transportation home, and an $100 shipboard credit should they decide to go on a future cruise. "The ‘Great Vacation Guarantee' is designed to provide an assurance to those consumers who may be considering a cruise that we stand behind our product and, if they are dissatisfied for any reason, they have a simple and hassle-free means for receiving a full refund and more," said Gerry Cahill, Carnival president and CEO at the time, in a company press release regarding the pledge.
