The MacDonald Training Center is asking people who attended Tampa Bay’s annual Gasparilla Pirate Parade over the weekend to surrender their booty for a good cause.

The local non-profit organization, which helps disabled individuals find employment, is asking for donations of party beads left over from the celebration. Over the next few weeks MTC trainees will recycle and repackage the beads to be sold back to Gasparilla krewes for next year’s parade. Participants get invaluable on-the-job training all while reducing waste. And the money collected from selling the beads will be used to fund MTC programs. Talk about a win-win!
