Texas Girl Scout Troop Delivers Cookie Care Packages to First Responders

What a sweet way to thank them for their service.

As difficult as it is to be cooped up inside during the coronavirus pandemic, thousands of men and women are out there on the front lines, risking their lives to keep us healthy and safe during this unprecedented time.

Recognizing this immense sacrifice, this week a group of Girl Scouts in Friendswood, Texas, thanked first responders like only they could.

On Tuesday, the Girl Scouts delivered packages of their famous cookies to local police and firefighters, reports ABC13.

"Still practicing social distancing, of course! (hands in pockets)," the City of Friendswood wrote on Instagram alongside photos of the young Girl Scouts making their deliveries.

"We really wanted them to acknowledge how hard working our first responders are," the group leader told the local news station. "And we wanted them to see that it's fun to give. It was fun packing and they'll have a lot of fun delivering."

Keep up the good work, girls!
