“Tanner needs a prom date! Details inside.”
The sign outside the local Chick-fil-A is the talk of the town in Casselberry, Florida. After all, sitting at the intersection of two main roads, it’s pretty hard to miss.
"Tanner needs a prom date!” the sign proclaims. “Details inside."
The Tanner in question is 17-year-old Tanner Waters, a senior at nearby Winter Springs High School, who works at the Chick fil-A three days a week. Waters has been having a hard time finding a date to his upcoming prom—a dilemma he shared with his manager, Billy McClarnon.

"I'm like, 'No, I'm not going to prom with you,'" McClarnon said. "But if you need some help, I'll put it on the reader board for you."
Waters thought it was a great idea. "I said, 'That would be awesome. That would help me out a lot.' It takes all the work out of finding (a date)," the teen recalled to Click Orlando.
Since Waters is only there a few times a week, McClarnon even printed out a picture of him to show to customers, just in case anyone comes in asking about him on one of his days off.
Waters thinks the whole thing is very funny, but prom at the end of the month, he’s hopeful it helps him find the right girl soon. Worst-case scenario, he said that one of his co-workers (no, not McClarnon) has agreed to accompany him.
