Erin Napier Sings Janis Joplin Classic at 'Home Town' Season 3 Wrap Party
Wow, the HGTV star sure can sing.
Well, let's add "talented singer" to her list of accolades, as new video shared by hubby Ben reveals her stellar pipes. "My favorite part of the #HGTVHomeTown season 3 wrap party... @erinapier singing! Even with a cold, that girl can flat out sing," writes Ben in the Instagram post. "I think she needs a record deal, what about y'all? I beg her to sing All. THE. TIME. Tonight she gave in. Scroll through the videos."
After a brief intro — "I'm losing my voice so it could be really bad, but..." — Erin busts into the familiar in medias res scene, "Busted flat in Baton Rouge, waitin' for a train / And I's feelin' near as faded as my jeans," she sings in a gentle, airy spirit. Erin continues with her rendition of "Me and Bobby McGee," written by Kris Kristofferson and songwriter Fred Foster, and originally performed by Roger Miller in 1969, but made famous by legend Janis Joplin with her chart-topping single in 1971.
Since Joplin's classic, many notable musicians have gone on to record the song including Waylon Jennings, the Grateful Dead, Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, and others. Watching Erin channel the sadness-tinged twang of Kacey Musgraves and powerful timbre of Joan Baez, we second that motion: Here's to hoping she gets that record deal.

And if that's you performing with a sore throat, we can't imagine what you must sound like with well-rested vocal chords. Did we mention the gal can play the guitar, too?
