Remember book club with mama reading Mary Poppins back in the day? Well, good news is in store for fans of the timeless book and the classic 1964 film! This weekend at Disney's D23 Expo, Disney revealed a first look at the highly anticipated film, Mary Poppins Returns, which will land in theaters this Christmas Day. Careful to not give too much away, Disney just gives us a quick glimpse at actress Emily Blunt, who will star in the film with the title role, toting that signature umbrella. The 34-year-old looks absolutely delightful in the teaser. Watch below.

The new film will be released 44 years after the original, which starred Julie Andrews alongside other beloved stars like Dick Van Dyke and David Tomlinson. The 2018 movie will also star Lin-Manuel Miranda, Colin Firth, and Meryl Streep.

The new musical boasts completely reimagined musical numbers in addition to a different time period from the original, Depression-era London. We're so excited to see the iconic nanny soar and sing once again!
