Donnie Wahlberg is giving us a serious case of the smiles. The New Kids on the Block singer and actor landed in Charlotte last night and booked it to the Waffle House for a late-night meal. What he did next? Surprisingly amazing:

"My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars — for years! So, when I walk into a #WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens! Thanks to the team at @wafflehouseofficial Charlotte, NC!" his Facebook caption reads of his awwww-inducing gesture. Currently, the viral post is at 83,000 likes and counting.

Given the affordable prices of Waffle House, we'd be lying if we didn't mention we were curious as to what precisely his $82 midnight snack included. That's a whole lot of hashbrowns! He could have ordered them all--smothered, covered, scattered and chopped. We sure hope there were some waffles! Either way, we're thrilled for the hard-working staff that gets to reap the benefits of Wahlberg's generosity.

Want more? Well, you're in luck. He documented the whole thing on Facebook:

Seriously, if that doesn't brighten your day, we don't know what will. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're off to blast 1988's "Hangin' Tough" on full-throttle.
