We may be putting travel on hold this summer amid the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn't mean we can't daydream about trips to come. Today, we're carving out some time to picture ourselves plopped in the middle of Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, which was just included in Tripadvisor's "Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Awards" for theme parks around the world.

On the global list, Dollywood came in eighth place—no surprises here, Disney World secured the coveted number one slot—and in the U.S.-only top 10 list, Dollywood landed in sixth, just ahead of Disneyland and behind Universal Studios Hollywood in the #5 spot. Impressively, on the list for top worldwide parks, Dollywood is the first American park on the list that is not part of the Disney or Universal conglomerates. You can see the full list here.

“To be included in the top-10 with the most iconic parks in the industry illustrates our strong commitment to delivering the absolute best guest experience," said Craig Ross, The Dollywood Company President, in a press release. "On behalf of Dolly and all of our hosts, we are thankful to be named in the company of these amazing parks. This truly is a great honor."

In addition to this accolade, Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort & Spa recently made the cut on the “World’s Best Awards” of Southern Living sister publication, Travel & Leisure, as one of the best family resorts in the U.S..

Whether the Smoky Mountain Songbird is entertaining fans on stage, through our screens, or on an adrenaline-pumping amusement park ride, it's clear she knows how to deliver on the good times front. Congratulations to Parton and the Dollywood team on their latest honors. Who's dreaming of their next vacation to The Volunteer State already?
