You may have spent the week workin' 9-to-5, but if you were lucky enough to attend the Newport Folk Festival in Newport, Rhode Island this weekend, a surprise set from Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, and newly-formed group, The Highwomen, sure made up for enduring the work week.

The Highwomen, which is comprised of Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Amanda Shires, took the stage with Parton, along with singer and songwriter Linda Perry, Sheryl Crow, Lucy Dacus, Maggie Rogers, and other guests as Saturday's headliners. Mysteriously billed as "♀♀♀♀: The Collaboration," fans were treated to hits ranging from "I Will Always Love You" and "If It Makes You Happy" to "Jolene" and "Big Yellow Taxi."

Below, Perry shares a special a cappella session backstage.

Watch some of the setlist highlights below.

Stupefied, too? You can take Parton, Crow, and Morris out of the South, but you can't take the South out of their sets. Oh, how we wish were there.

It's safe to say The Highwomen is a group we'll be sure to follow from here on out. Their debut eponymous album comes out September 6th, 2019. For now, you can listen to their two singles, "Crowded Table" and "Redesigning Women" on Spotify.

Well, we're certainly keeping our fingers and toes crossed that this isn't the last time Parton performs with this all-female supergroup. What a show.
