We've all been patiently awaiting updates on the 9 to 5 movie sequel. Okay, perhaps not so patiently.

Happily, Dolly Parton recently shared some new intel on the sequel's status. According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, Parton said the upcoming film is a "work in progress," and currently the script is being rewritten for the second go-around.

"Well, it's actually pretty far down the road ... they got the first rewrite, and we've made some changes ... so now we're into the second rewrite, so it's just a matter of getting all of our characters right and making sure that it's the right thing," Parton said.

"And the studio, they have their notes. The producers have their notes. We have our notes as actresses, like 'my character's like this ... oh we need to do this, do that.' So it's just a work in progress, but it's progressing," she continued.
