Before you plan your next Disney getaway to Orlando, Florida, you may want to rethink your mealtime M.O.

As Elizabeth Xu wrote on ReadersDigest.com, it pays to get to the park early for your morning nosh. "Several restaurants inside the Magic Kingdom open an hour earlier than the park for breakfast," Xu writes, adding that 20-year Disney travel expert Tom Murray notes that some restaurants host character breakfasts. This, of course, is a timesaver if you have a little one looking to meet Mickey, Minnie, and the crew. The technique also works for other Disney parks, and it's best to book your breakfast reservations in advance on disneyworld.com. Perhaps surprisingly, breakfast spots fill up quickly, especially at popular eateries like Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.
