We almost fell out of our rocking chair.

Looking to fast track a Southerner's smile? The words "Cracker Barrel Old Country Store" should do the trick. As fans of the Lebanon,Tennessee-based restaurant chain, we love unearthing new trivia about the beloved biscuit slingers.

Recently, North Carolina's WRAL.com dug up some fun facts every Cracker Barrel enthusiast should know, and we're particularly intrigued by the items each Cracker Barrel outpost proudly displays. Drum roll, please: Every Cracker Barrel store (645+ and counting!) boasts both an ox yolk and a horseshoe over the front door, a traffic light to greet you outside the restrooms, and that ever-cherished checker board atop a barrel by the fireplace. According to Cracker Barrel's website, each store has an average of 1,000 decor items. Let the home decor fantasy shopping list begin.

Now, whether you're inspired to pick up some living room flourishes at the store or snagging some Tiffany-style stained glass lace mini accent lamps online to channel the Barrel's spirit in your own abode, our design wheels are certainly turning. P.S. We've never met a coffee table by the fire with a checkerboard we didn't like.
