It was an ordinary Saturday night in 1967 and Arlene McCurry was cruising the streets of Waco, Texas, with her girlfriends.

"That was the Saturday night thing — you just went and drove up and down Main Street and looked for cute cars or cute boys," she recently recalled to The Charlotte Observer.

She met Dennis that night, and she's not embarrassed to admit that the first thing she noticed about him was his car, a 1965 Chevrolet Impala. She fell in love with the car first, and in no time, with its owner too.

They were married three months later. Dennis and Arlene spent their honeymoon in that car, driving it across the country, and even brought one of their children home from the hospital in it.

To this day, the couple believes they never would have met if it weren't for the car, which is why, 50 years later, it still sits in the driveway of their Mooresville, North Carolina home. Dennis and Arlene says it's a part of the family.

"My kids drove it, two of my granddaughters learned to drive in it," Dennis told the Observer.

You can't put a price on something like that.

"Not $1 million or even $2 million," he replied when asked if he'd consider selling it. "It's not for sale."
