So, what is it that gets so many people's engines running? It's actually pretty simple. Buying a car can be a nerve-wracking, not to mention overwhelming, experience. As Business Insider points out, the Costco Auto Program is such a hit with shoppers because it manages to not only eliminate uncertainty by working with only the most trusted dealers, their streamlined process is also quick and easy to use. Through its website or call center, members can do it all: research and compare vehicles, calculate monthly payments, and get a discount at participating dealerships. While the size of the discount varies based on the vehicle's class, brand, and model, a Costco representative told Business Insider that the average discount totaled more than $1,000 off a car's average transaction price.
