When Chick-fil-A's White Peach Tea Lemonade rolled out earlier this year, our first thought was "Pass the bourbon." But wine, too, can be a lovely addition to your Chick-fil-A experience. Where's a hungry patron to start?

In a recent piece in Grub Street by Vanessa Price, I discovered I'm not alone in this sentiment. As Price wrote, "When the first stand-alone Chick-fil-A in Manhattan opened in 2015, I braved the block-long line to eat my first classic chicken sandwich in years. It still tasted like home, and the sandwich I loved as a kid in Kentucky pulled on all sorts of nostalgia strings for this adult in New York. Of course, it also feels like something of an indulgence now, but that just means it's worth doubling down and grabbing wine that also feels like a treat." Price's vote was for pét-nat sparkling wine.

As for ours...In the name of research, we set out to create our own Chick-fil-A and wine pairings. Here are some favorites:

Dreaming Tree Wines

All you need is a bottle of this bold, fruity chardonnay and a tray of Chick-fil-A's chicken biscuits and you've got a brunch-time party that rivals a Michelin-starred outing, from the comfort of your couch. As the flaky buttermilk biscuit crumbles in your palate, the mildly sweet nectarine and roasted apple notes complement the sandwich beautifully.

Also pictured above (far right), this juicy sauv blanc is an ideal match for Chick-fil-A's spicy chicken sandwich. Why? For one thing, the vino's tropical zest balances the heat of the sandwich. For another? Any leftover wine is begging for a light dinner of lobster with a side of butter and more butter.

Peach Bellini

What could be a more festive partner for a heaping portion of Chick-fil-A's waffle potato fries than a peach bellini? Take the flesh of one ripe, peeled peach and blend until smooth (or swap the fresh fruit for a 1/4-cup peach nectar). Add two ounces of the Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio and two ounces of chilled club soda to a wine glass and then add the peach. Stir and top off with a few sprigs of mint. Sip, eat more fries, repeat.

For a special occasion, it's always worth it to splurge on bubbly. Here, this special champagne (and glow-in-the-dark bottle!) tips its hat to the legendary Madame Clicquot and proves itself worthy of the epicurean heritage of Chick-fil-A's Chocolate Chunk Cookie. To jazz up the beverage, add some chunks of pineapple right before serving.

Now, who said fast food couldn't be fancy?
