Chick-fil-A’s commitment to hospitality isn’t always compatible with speedy drive-thru service. Fortunately, fans of the chicken chain don’t seem to mind.

A new industry report revealed that fast food customers can’t get enough of Chick-fil-A’s drive-thru service, even though it takes longer than its competitors. Despite above-average wait times, Chick-fil-A was found to be the most popular drive-thru service, topping the list in accuracy, taste, and customer service.

So, just how slow is Chick-fil-A?

The chicken giant’s average service time clocks in at a whopping 488.8 seconds—just over eight minutes.

For context, KFC has the fastest average service time at 283.3 seconds (just under five minutes), while Taco Bell, Burger King, and McDonald all average between five and six minutes. Arby’s has the second-longest average time: six minutes and 34 seconds.

One likely reason for Chick-fil-A’s longer waits is that its restaurants tend to serve far more customers than its competitors. But, thanks to smiling, friendly workers and a consistent product, it’s worth the wait.
