When Chick-fil-A removed the chicken salad sandwich from its menu in 2017, many fans of the Southern fast food empire were not pleased. Now, we're afraid another cherished item from The Chick is entering retirement: The Chick-fil-A Cow Calendar.

First created in 1998 as a means to encourage people to chow down on more chicken, the Cow Calendar Card also gives guests special monthly offers like a free fountain beverage or spicy chicken sandwich. As News & Observer reported, Chick-fil-A sent out an email on Wednesday alerting customers that the product will not be offered in 2019. As an alternative to the Cow Card deals, Chick-fil-A has the One app, which also boasts easier ordering and line skipping privileges. For those who enjoyed gifting the Cow Card, the email stated that Chick-fil-A is "stepping up our gift card game to make sure you have something to give those most special to you," according to News & Observer.

Nevertheless, many fans are not pleased and have taken to social media to voice their opinion.

While this news doesn't put us in the best of mooooo-ds, at least it's a comfort to know their perfectly crispy chicken will remain the same.
