One of Our Favorite Southern Fast Food Chains Is Testing a Chocolate Fudge Brownie
We're doing a major happy dance.
It's a good week for chocolate lovers. First, Krispy Kreme announced the launch of its limited-time "Chocolate Glaze Collection." Now, Chick-fil-A has further whetted our sweet tooth with the news of a Chocolate Fudge Brownie testing in select markets.
As announced on Chick-fil-A's blog The Chicken Wire yesterday, as of January 14th, the Chick is testing a Chocolate Fudge Brownie in the Bay Area, along with two regions in our neck of the woods: South Florida and Richmond-area restaurants. Pricing for a brownie starts at $1.99. Hosting a crowd? If the brownie is available in your area, you can also order it on a tray through catering. If the feedback for the Chocolate Fudge Brownie is positive, it could be added to Chick-fil-A's menu nationwide. (Friends in Florida and Virginia, please take note.)
WATCH: So Good Brownies
On a different end of the flavor spectrum, Chick-fil-A also announced on its blog that participating Phoenix, Yuma, and Tuscon restaurants have begun to test three spicy new items. First, the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich, with grilled chicken, Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, paired with Cilantro Lime Sauce. This flavor-packed sandwich has previously been tested in Orlando, St. Louis, and Knoxville, so we're hoping the expanded testing bodes well for a potential nationwide rollout. Second, these Arizona restaurants will introduce the Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit, a breakfast sandwich with two Spicy Chick-n-Strips on a buttermilk biscuit. Finally, these Chick-fil-A outposts will also offer the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Bundle, a build-your-own Spicy Grilled Sandwiches set that serves 10 people. All will be available for a limited-time.
Order up, AZ, and let's get these spicy hits to the South.
