But will there be cheesecake?
Picture yourself inside the welcoming embrace of The Cheesecake Factory. Its energetic ambiance, giant menu (decisions, decisions!), and of course, the cheesecake likely all come to mind. Well, the restaurant chain is shaking things up from its pizza go-tos, beloved pastas, and graham cracker crusted delights.

As Eater recently announced, "The Cheesecake Factory is planning on opening a new restaurant this fall, Social Monk Asian Kitchen"...it’s described as 'a fast-casual Asian concept with a modern urban feel.' The company tells Eater it’s been in development for about a year and a half, and is slated to open this fall in the affluent LA suburb of Thousand Oaks," writes author Whitney Filloon.
Interestingly, The Cheesecake Factory runs another Asian restaurant, RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen, with a locations in Oak Brook, Illinois and Los Angeles. The chef from RockSugar, Mohan Ismail, will also serve as the Social Monk culinary director. Currently, the menu for the new eatery is still in the works, but dishes will hail from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Indonesia, and India, "including noodles, sandwiches, and curries; there will also be salads, rice bowls, 'some creative flavors of house-made frozen custard,' and beer and wine," Filloon reports.
This sounds great and all, but any chance we'll see yuzu-miso cheesecake on the dessert menu?
