Carrie Underwood Embraces Her Inner Southern Girl in Hilarious Tweet After Brush with the Cops
Well, ladies and gentlemen, Carrie Underwood has a statement to make—and it has nothing to do about music. After nearly 20 years on the road, the 34-year-old singer got pulled over by a cop for speeding for her first time. The self-proclaimed "#RuleFollower" and "#GrannyDriver" took to Twitter this morning to share the news. "Well, it happened today. After 18 years, I can no longer say I've never been pulled over for speeding," Underwood wrote. "I feel so ashamed! I may or may not have cried in my car after the cop let me go." Hey, mama always told us the importance of a good cry (and fixing up your face and soldiering throughw ith your day after).
2018 has been off to a rocky start for the country crooner, who broke her wrist and injured her face late last year and is still recovering from injuries sustained in that incident.

Ever an optimist, it's a comfort to see that the star can still poke fun at herself and seems to be doing fine after her run-in with the law. Above all, we're grateful the 34-year-old "Jesus, Take the Wheel" singer is safe.
