Carrie Underwood's Son Isaiah Guesses His Mama Is 70-Years-Old in Pre-School Assignment
Wait until you see what little Isaiah thinks his mama's job is.
Carrie Underwood is a lot of things. Devoted wife. Doting mother to Jacob and Isaiah. Country superstar. Fitness enthusiast. Entrepreneur. Does "septuagenarian" belong on this list of descriptors? We don't think so.
But her four-year-old son, Isaiah, begs to differ. Yesterday, the singer took to Instagram to share a glimpse into her older son's brain (Underwood and husband Mike Fisher welcomed their second son, Jacob, last year)—and we sure are laughing. In what appears to be a fill-in-the-blank pre-school assignment, titled "All About My Mom," Isaiah fills in a variety of queries about his famous mama, some with unintentionally hilarious results. "I think my mom is ___ years old," results in a hypothesis of "70," as little Isaiah surmises his mom to be roughly 34 years older than her actual age.
Later on in the survey, Isaiah concedes that he believes his "mom's job is [to] wash the laundry," also noting that she's "really good at folding laundry." Underwood, clearly amused by her young son, shared the questionnaire with the caption, "Soooo...apparently I’m 70 and I’m really good at doing the laundry." As of the morning of Friday, February 14th, the post has received more than 575,000 likes on Instagram and even elicited some responses from famous friends like Miranda Lambert who quipped "Bahahaha" and Maddie Marlow, of country duo Maddie & Tae, who wrote "Oh my gosh" with a smiley emoji.
Some followers of Underwood were clearly moved to read Isaiah's notes, commenting, "You've done a great job. He doesn't see you as a singer...he sees you as his Mom :)" and "This is perfection! I LOVE that while we are all in awe of your beautiful voice and talent...your precious boy sees you for the greatest gift of all....his mom. You’re most definitely doing it right!" Check out the post and comments below.
Beyond the laughter some of Isaiah's remarks gave us, it's safe to say the "My Mom always says 'I love you,'" tugged at our heartstrings the most. Based on this survey, it's clear that Underwood manages to do a superstar job at juggling her career with her family.
We always love when starts give us a peek into their personal lives. We think we'll take this sweet story as an excuse to blast her Storyteller album and toast the amazing artist. Isaiah, thanks for all the intel on Mama Underwood.
