This Famous Southern Biscuit Shop is Coming to Charlotte
Is it too soon to order a dozen Country Ham Biscuits?
Good news, Charlotte biscuit lovers! One of the country’s most beloved biscuit purveyors is opening up shop this summer in the Queen City.
The Charlotte Observer reports that Callie’s Charleston Biscuits plans to open a fourth location of its famous grab-and-go shop, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, in a 1,350-square foot space at The Penrose, an apartment community in the city’s vibrant South End.
Callie’s Charleston Biscuits, Carrie Morey’s eponymous line of handmade biscuits and Southern pantry staples, was founded in Charleston in 2005. Its success inspired the busy mom of three to launch Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, an all-day restaurant featuring a mouth-watering menu of Southern delicacies. Hot biscuits, pimento cheese sandwiches, and a signature biscuit bowl filled with slow cooked grits are just a few of Morey’s heavy hitters.
