Chip, Chip, Hooray!

With Super Bowl LIV rapidly approaching this Sunday, February 2nd, you've likely spent more than a few minutes thinking about chips and dips. (If you need some more ideas on that front, we've got you covered with Super Dips for Bowl Games). But one company out of Dandridge, Tennessee has really got our heads spinning with bean dip daydreams: BUSH'S Beans.

On January 17th, 2020 the company broke the Guinness World Record for the world's largest layered dip, a 70-layer bean dip. The record-smashing feat took place on January 17th in Chicago where 19 BUSH'S Beans brand representatives created the 70-layer dip—held in a giant clear vessel—after two days of work.

In total, the finished dish weighed 1,087 pounds and was comprised of placing 10 different 7-layer dip recipes stacked on top of each other. "We know the classic 7-layer dip, made with BUSH'S Beans, is a fan-favorite for game day snacking celebrations," said Kate Rafferty, Consumer Experience Manager at BUSH's in a news release on Guinness World Record's website. "Every year at this time we see an increase in searches for recipes, so this year we wanted to put a real twist on the traditional dip and do something fun for our fans while also showcasing the versatility of BUSH'S Beans through a wide range of recipes included in the 70-layer bean dip."

Hungry? The massive 70-layer bean dip was made with Veggie, Cuban, Caprese, Loaded Baked Potato, Buffalo, Mediterranean, Fiesta, Spicy, Barbecue, and Classic bean dip recipes. Lest you think that all of the food go to waste, the whole of the 70-layer culinary feat was donated to charity, per Milwaukee's Fox 6 Now.

We're fixin' for some bean dip now. Thanks BUSH's Beans. So let us know, dearest readers: What are your favorite bean dips to prepare for Super Bowl Sunday? Or are you all about the spicy salsas?
