Chip Gaines may be busy preparing for the inaugural Silo District Marathon in Waco this May. We salute him (and think its's pretty incredible that 100% of the profits are going to the Brave Like Gabe Foundation).

However, we think we just found a race that's more our cup of tea: The Boerne 0.5K, taking place on Saturday, May 5th at 11:00am in Boerne, Texas. With the $25 race registration fee going to Blessings in a Backpack, this "run" will weave athletes from River Road Park all the way to the Main Street Bridge, a staggering 547-ish yards away. To get you pumped up pre-race, runners will get a free pint of beer. Then, to refresh yourself after the grueling event, you'll get another free pint of beer at the end. If lacing up your running sneaks alone seems daunting, there's also a VIP option, where for an additional $25, you can skip the run and take a shuttle in a restored 1963 VW bus (fear not, you still get the beer). Currently, registration is full, but you can donate and learn more about the event here.

Did we mention there will also be "a coffee and donut station at the halfway point for carb-loading and energy?" Man, these folks think of everything.
