No matter how many years it's been since we were students, we all always remember that special teacher (or teachers) who helped shape us into the people we are today.

Now, Applebee's is giving youngsters a chance to nominate teachers that have made a difference in their lives by bringing back their "Above and 'BEE'yond Teacher Essay Contest." The contest is being held at all Doherty Enterprises Applebee's locations in Florida and Georgia. To enter a teacher, students submit an essay they wrote descrbing what makes their teacher so remarkable at their local Applebees by March 31st. Bonus: Applebee's will dole out free ice cream certificates to any student who enters the contest.

They'll also get an end-of-year celebratory party hosted by Applebee's. Winners will be announced Monday, April 23rd, so start getting your kids or grandkids' wheels turning now, FL and GA residents.
