Sure, nothing will replace the rush of scoring a deal in the long, wide aisles at Costco, IKEA, Target, or Sam's Club, but snagging a discounted find on the virtual aisles of Amazon certainly comes close.

But while you may simply go to the homepage or a specific department to do your shopping, did you know there's a magical "Today's Deals" page with a dizzying array of discounted items?

As The Kitchn's Caroline Biggs recently reported, "Located under the "Today's Deal" (aka the gold box) tab, lightning deals are exactly what they sound like: major discounts on popular items that expire after a short period of time (usually about 5 hours). Only one lightning deal a day is available per customer, so be sure to check out all the different promotions before selecting your fave!"

On any given day, products vary, but today's offerings included a travel backpack, a flowy summer dress, and memory foam neck pillow, to tick off a few.
