Now that’s what we call a win for the Tigers.

No Southern wedding is complete without a little taste of college football rivalry.

And for bride Bekka Campbell, that’s not just a figure of speech. During her July 20th nuptials at Magnolia Plantation in Harahan, the Louisiana bride claimed sweet victory over her Alabama hubby by sabotaging his groom’s cake with purple and gold filling.

Wedding guest Nicole Torbert recalled to WFAB how Johnny spent the reception showing off his Alabama-themed groom's cake to a guest list of mostly LSU Tigers fans. And when it came time for him to cut into it, he couldn’t believe his ears when the room erupted into an "L-S-U!" chant instead of the "Roll Tide" he was expecting. Nor could he believe his eyes: beneath the cake’s Crimson Tide exterior, were layers of purple and gold.

Torbert, who captured the big reveal on video, told the station it was all Bekka’s idea, and that everybody kept it a secret until the moment Johnny sliced into it. In a single day, a shortened clip of the sabotage video has been viewed more than 500,000 times on Torbet’s Facebook page. Now that’s what we call a win.
