The little hooks located on some tray table nobs or on the side of the chair back are actually miniature coat hangers. Who knew, right?! You can use the trusty tool to hang anything from your jacket to your headphones. Or, use it for nothing at all.

Sadly not all airplanes provide coat hooks, and whether or not they do is based purely on preference. Huffpost reports that tray table hooks are an option that some airlines choose when they customize their cabins.
