There's a simple art to pouring bourbon. Morgan Murphy, author of Southern Living Bourbon & Bacon gives the scoop.
[MUSIC] Now a good bartender knows in pouring a bourbon that bourbons don't age in the bottle. Bourbon only ages in the barrel. But bourbons do have sediments in them, and they'll gently settle over a long period of time to the bottom of the bottle. So when you pour a bottle of bourbon,. Gently shake it. Just a little bit, to rock those sediments back up. [MUSIC]
