Luke Combs may be one of the biggest country stars in the world, but he doesn’t exactly live like one. The down-to-earth star lives in a relatively modest two-bedroom home with his growing family —and they are just fine with that.

In a recent Q&A with her fans and followers on Instagram, his wife, Nicole, replied to a question about nursery plans for soon-to-arrive second child, Taste of Country first reported.  She explained that the new kiddo will eventually share a room with their big brother, nine-month-old Tex.

They don’t have much of a choice, as they live in a two-bedroom house, and Luke and his wife occupy one of the bedrooms. Besides the practicality of it, Nicole has a nostalgic reason for encouraging the siblings to split a room.

"I shared a room with my sister growing up and low-key loved it," she explained in the Q&A.

While some folks in the chat seemed surprised that the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year would live in an average-sized house that is undoubtedly below his means, one calling it “so basic”, the Combs family isn't bothered.

"We're basic AF," Nicole said, clearly joking, and sharing a selfie that she altered with a filter to show her with enormous eyes and a giant mouth.

The family is planning on moving into slightly larger digs eventually. That’s because they may need more options as they may want a bigger family. According to Nicole, she "would like a small army,” although that would mean “4 max. But [they] also may stop at 2.” Either way a bigger house may be in order.

None of this should be surprising to fans of the “Hurricane” and "Forever After All" singer, who is known for his generosity, kindness, and relatability.
