How to Clean Stubborn Stains from Your Enamel Cookware
There's a super simple method.
From sauce pans to dutch ovens, casual and devoted home cooks alike love their enamel cookware. Those baked-on, caked-on, burnt-on stains? Not so much.
Luckily, it's easier than you think to clean stubborn splatters and smears from your enamel pieces. Recently, cooking site The Kitchn shared a genius way to make your beloved Le Creuset or grandma's skillet look new.
First, simmer approximately four cups water in your pot or pan. "Let the water come to a boil, add [two tablespoons]...baking soda, and give everything a good stir. After a few minutes of simmering, use a wooden spoon (no metal on that enamel surface, please!) to nudge off the burned-on bits," writes The Kitchn's Coco Morante. You may want to change the amount of baking soda and water you use based on how large the piece is. Lastly, you'll want to rinse the cookware off with hot water. Voilà!
